JACK ZISKIN
Multimedia Journalist and PxP Broadcaster
Jack Ziskin is a multimedia journalist and play-by-play broadcaster with a Master’s degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications with a specialization in Digital Film & TV Production from the University of Florida.
Now a multimedia journalist at WATE-TV, an ABC affiliate, Jack writes, voices, and edits stories for evening broadcasts and digital use, creating complete on-air packages. Jack is currently the PxP broadcaster for the Jacksonville Icemen of the ECHL while they are on the road, delivering engaging live play-by-play commentary and writing game recaps during the 2025-2026 season.
At Syracuse, Jack developed a strong multimedia journalism portfolio, producing content for NCC News and NCC Sports, and writing for The NewsHouse Sports and the Newhouse Sports Media Center. His work spanned live reporting, digital storytelling, and on-air broadcasting, with a sharp focus on collegiate athletics.
Prior to graduate school, he spent two years as the Managing Editor for the Long Island Sports Network’s LIHockey.com, where he led coverage of the Long Island hockey scene. He was also a play-by-play announcer and technical producer with the LI Sports Network.
A lifelong athlete with a deep-rooted passion for sports, Jack played hockey through high school and continued at the club level in college. He played lacrosse until age 16, tried nearly every sport growing up—and famously washed out of t-ball. All-in love for competition now fuels his work behind the mic and in front of the camera.
With firsthand athletic experience and a commitment to sharp, engaging storytelling, Jack continues to build a dynamic career in sports media—on the mic, behind the lens, and in the newsroom.
